Navigating RM Workspace features

 
The navigation bar on the left side of RM Workspace screens is your gateway to the many features provided by RM Workspace.

Go to home screen

Clicking on this link from any screen will return you to your home screen

View your favourite records

Click on this link to see all your favourite records.  This is an alternative to viewing your favourite records in the 'My favourites' portlet on your home screen.

Application launch area

Launch these commonly used applications directly from RM Workspace by clicking on the appropriate link. The applications available here are configured as part of the RM Workspace installation and cannot be edited by the RM Workspace administrator.

Collaborate with colleagues

RM Workspace offers a number of collaboration features accessed from this section.

Groups list

Clicking on this arrow from any screen will display an alphabetical list of all groups of which you are an administrator or member. Click on any group in the list to display the screen for that group.  This feature enables you to access your group screens from any RM Workspace screen.

Manage RM Workspace groups

Set up RM Workspace groups, manage those for which you are an administrator and view information on RM Workspace groups of which you are a member.

Shared with me

View a list of records shared with you by other users; see who shared them, with whom and view any comments entered in relation to the shared records.

Shared by me

View the records that you have shared with other users and groups; with whom you shared them, when you shared them and see any comments you may have entered in relation to the shared records.

Search history

This section, via the links below, gives you access to searches you have undertaken recently as well as any searches you have saved.

Recent searches

Searches you have performed recently, both advanced and quick searches, are listed here with the most recently performed displayed at the top of the list.

Saved searches

After performing any search, you can save the search criteria for later use.  The Saved searches link displays the list of your previously saved searches.

Tag management

All the tags you have created and have not yet deleted are available to view and edit from this link.

Tag cloud

Tags you have used recently (attached to a record or edited) are displayed in the tag cloud so that they are immediately available.
 
The difference in tag name text size is an indicator of the comparative number of records tagged with each of the listed tags. Tags displayed in a larger font are attached to more records than tags displayed in a smaller font.
 
Note: In your personal settings, on the RM Workspace settings tab - you can specify the maximum number of tags to display in your tag cloud.
 
Tip: In common with many of RM Workspace's links and icons, you can mouse-hover over items in the navigation bar to display a useful text tip.
