Diem Portal Re-branded as RM Workspace
In order for the product’s name to more closely reflect its function, what was formerly Diem Portal has been renamed to ‘RM Workspace’. The name change was introduced in version 4.3.
The name change does not affect any in-house branding you may apply but any references in the product to ‘Diem Portal’ are now changed to RM Workspace and it is referred to as ‘RM Workspace’ throughout the documentation.
In addition, RM Workspace incorporates new architecture resulting in display and search performance improvements to further enhance the user experience.
RM Workspace
RM Workspace is a user friendly, intuitive and accessible (WCAG 2.0 Level AA) collaborative web portal that enables you to empower your staff with simpler, faster and better information collaboration in a digital workspace.
Using RM Workspace maximises staff ability to discover, access and share enterprise information resources while effortlessly and transparently meeting records management compliance requirements.
RM Workspace is in use in a number of significant client sites, including the Department of Agriculture and Water, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), Australian Public Service Commission, Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, ACT Government, and Waverley Council.
This Document
This document is a guide to using the main functions of RM Workspace version 4.5. It uses default terminology throughout and cannot account for action and other name changes which may be made by your RM Workspace administrator or used by your customised RM Workspace.
Working with RM Workspace
RM Workspace has been designed with your needs in mind. We've made it easy for you to find and display record information and to action records. We offer you actions which are appropriate to the records you have selected and we provide feedback on the success or failure of the different activities you undertake in RM Workspace.
RM Workspace 4.5 introduces a number of new functions to improve the user experience. These include HTML previews - enabling record attachments to be (pre)viewed within the user’s browser, improvements in thumbnail support with thumbnails now generated for all electronic file types supported by the HPE RM/TRIM/CM Viewer, ‘Copy link to clipboard’ enabling multiple records to be selected to produce one simple link that can be pasted into emails or documents, Client/Matter support plus the ability to create multiple new records from multiple DragNdropped files in a single action.
Your RM Workspace version
When RM Workspace launches, it checks that you are running the appropriate Workspace Agent. To check the RM Workspace version, mousehover over the RM Workspace icon in the top left side of your screen. To check the version of Workspace Agent installed, you can check in the Control Panel under Programs or right click on the RM Workspace icon in your system tray.
