In any portlet, or when you are viewing search results, if you mouse-hover over the file type icon, the details pane will open to display a summary of the record's metadata. Move your mouse to the file type icon of another record and the details pane data will change accordingly.
If the details pane doesn't display when you mouse-hover over the file type icon, check to see if the WCAG mode setting is ticked in your Personal Settings on the RM Workspace settings tab. If the WCAG mode setting is ticked, the details pane will not be available. Alternatively, your RM Workspace administrator may not have enabled the Details pane function.
Much of the metadata displayed in the details pane is hyperlinked to the displayed text or has other functionality. When you mouseover a data hyperlink, the text becomes underlined.
Click on the hyperlinked text to display the linked information.
In the example details pane shown here, the following actions are available:
Record number and title
- click on the record's title to open the attached file in read-only mode or mouse-hover over the thumbnail for instructions on dragging a copy of the read-only attachment to your desktop.
Note: If you don't see a thumbnail, your RM Workspace administrator may not have enabled this feature - or it may not have been possible for a thumbnail to be generated for the file.
Assignee -
click on the record's Assignee name to view all records assigned to that user.
Creator
- click on the record's Creator name to view all records created in HP TRIM/HPE RM by that user.
Container
- click on the container record hyperlink to view all contents of the container (including alternatively contained records)
Related To
- click on a related record's hyperlink to search for and display that record.
Renditions
- decide which rendition you need to view and click on that rendition's hyperlink to save the file to your downloads directory.
Tags
- click on a tag name to show all records with that tag.
Notes
- displays the notes added to the record.
Note: The usual security and access permissions are honoured for all hyperlinked information. For instance, if you do not have 'View document' permission, you will not be able to drag a read-only copy of the record anywhere and nor will you be able to download a rendition.
Tip: Keep your cursor inside the details pane while reviewing the summary metadata; if you move your mouse outside the details pane, it will close.
